Habe heute zwei Apple Paketchen wiedergefunden, die ich vor längerer Zeit bei eBay ersteigert hatte:



PC Compatibility Card für PowerMac 4400 und 7300

und

DOS Compatibility Card für Powermac 6100

Leider habe ich nur die PowerMacs 5400, 6200, 7600, G3 und G4. Es kann sein, dass die PC-Karte des 7300 auch in einem 7600 werkelt. Aber es sollte der Original 604e-Prozessor drin sein. Ob es mit Beschleunigerkarten auch läuft, muss man sehen.

Gut. Ich werde wohl so einen 4400er, 6100er oder 7300er besorgen müssen. Aber ist alles zusammengebaut, kann man im laufenden Betrieb von dem Apple-OS auf die DOS-Ebene oder Win95/98 usw. umschalten. Die Applikation laufen wohl weiter und man kann immer hin- und her schalten. Auch ein Zweimonitorbetrieb über ein Adapterkabel ist möglich: Linker Moni DOS, rechter Apple OS!

Daten können per Drag'n' Drop von einem System ins andere einfach kopiert werden!

Was das dann für uns als GEOS-User bedeutet? GEOS ohne Emulator, pur, nativ, rein auf einem 486er oder Pentium werkeln lassen...in einem original PowerMac!!!
