Laser PAL286: Neues Beta-Bild entdeckt!

Wenn man unter Google sucht, ist oft auch die Sparte Bücher eine Suche wert und so fand ich das PC Magazine vom 15. Januar 1990 mit einem Text über GeoWorks und einem weiteren Beta-Bild:

Im Verkaufstext einer früherer LASER 286 Version war die GeoWorks 1.0 Version erwähnt:

LASER PAL286 recovery disks, DOS 4.01 and GEOWORKS 1.0, PRODIGY, 1.44 floppy

I was able to read both and make a virtual machine.

I had best results with:

Set the HD to SCSI and sized .1 GB in the VM settings.

Use the DISK1 image to boot and the actual DISK2 when asked by the install program.

Install a more modern mouse driver (the one it installs only does serial mice).

Edit the geos.ini file, change ContinueSetup=false
