Tandy 1000 TL2
Tandy DMP 134
Tandy TRP 100 thermal printer
The problem occurred in all quality settings, and on any port setting (7, BIOS, DOS). It happened with versions 1.2.9 and 1.2.8 of the software.
It seems likely to have been caused by an as-yet-unidentified problem in the PC itself, since the printers were different: a Tandy DMP-136 color 9-pin and a Panasonic KXP-1180--a printer that many of our customers use successfully.
Suggested work around: when you get to the bottom of a document, hit return a couple of times to get a line or two below your text, and type a period. The period may then be echoed, which is not perfect, but may be better than having a bunch of text echoed.
SOLUTION: The answer here is to adjust the page and paper sizes for the printer. There are several printers out there that do this. It takes some calculation and work to set everything up just right.
Start out by changing the default Paper and Page settings in Preferences, Printer to 10 inches. Also, change the top margin of the document to .25" (the smallest allowed). Now try printing out the document. It should fit OK, but sometimes a little tweaking is needed on the Paper and Page defaults to get it correct. The loss of 1" of document will be absorbed by the header. This 1" loss will most likely result in the loss of the whole header, unless you change the top margin to around 2", and compensate by changing the bottom margin to 1/4".
